A little bit about us

Hello!

My husband, Trevor, and I are first time parents, due September 2023.

We live in Mukilteo, WA and work nearby (Everett & Mountlake Terrace). We both work Monday-Friday and are seeking childcare 35-40 hours per week. Trevor works from the office 5 days/week and I have a hybrid schedule. Typically I work from home 3 days/week.

We have a well-behaved, sweetheart dog (Piper, 7, Cavapoo) and an anti-social cat (Mooney, 3). 🙂

We are interested in a nanny share opportunity. We have some flexibility on start date, but anticipate beginning between March and May, 2024. We are open to drop-off, hosting, or some combination of. We live in a quiet, safe neighborhood in a single-family home.

A little bit about us

We are a Mukilteo family in needs of a part-time nanny for our 3-month-old baby - Monday through Thursday 11:30am-6:30pm (some days we may be earlier than 630pm). Must love kids and have nanny experience. Our ideal match is someone who is energetic, attentive, caring, enthusiastic and flexible. There might be days where you'll be more of a mother's helper as I sometimes work from home. A car is not provided - please have your own.

Please note - we will be asking all serious candidates for the following:
- background check
- contact info for 3 people that can provide a reference for your work with children
- a copy of your resume (can be any resume you've used for your professional career and does not need to be a nanny resume)
- first and last name of spouse
- a picture of your drivers license

Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Mukilteo, WA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Mukilteo, WA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Mukilteo, WA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
