A little bit about us
He is a very sweet and smart boy! I will prefer that this person works from my home, and has reliable transportation. I will provide food, I will need lunch prepared for him on the days you are here (likely Wednesday-Friday usually). I do have pets in the home, they have a dog door, I just want to make sure that anyone applying is aware and is not afraid or allergic.
I try to be flexible where I can. I really hope that I can find a good person to help us take care of my nephew as he makes his living transition. If it works out, I would likely want an arrangement to continue as he starts school.

Before you start looking for a live-in nanny job, it's essential to make sure you’re looking for the right opportunities by learning about the different types of nanny jobs and how they compare to each other.
Most nanny jobs vary in responsibilities and time commitment (e.g. the number of hours worked each week or the length of the commitment). Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a live-in nanny job interview. Here is a list of some live-in nanny interview questions you should ask:
- Can you tell me about where in the house I will live? Will I have my own bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, etc? Do I have my own entrance?
- What are your expectations around the cleanliness and tidiness of my living quarters?
- What level of privacy can I expect after hours?
- Will I have a curfew in the evenings when I am in charge of the kids the next day?
- Can I have guests over during my days off and only with the employers prior agreement? Am I allowed guests overnight?
Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
