Old daughter who is not in daycare yet & am needing only a few days for an in-home nanny while I go on vacation. My parents will be in the home and will occasionally leave. I will need someone from 11-3 to watch over my daughter from Friday, Monday, & Tuesday. She’s a pretty easy toddler responsibilities could include prepping lunch, snacks, and going out to play but, nothing tedious.

I (Patty) am in nursing school and working part-time. Christian works from home but needs more time to focus and that's hard to do with an active lil kid. We need someone to watch him on days I have class or clinicals, or when I'm coming off a night shift and Christian has to work that day. My school schedule changes each quarter (approximately every 12 weeks), so we need someone with some flexibility in their schedule.
He has a library card, and our local library has storytime M-F. We have memberships to the Botanical Gardens, Denver Museum of Nature and Science, the Children's Museum, and the Butterfly Pavilion. There are plenty of parks nearby, and during the summer there are 7 community pools we have access to, and he loves swimming!
We do some ASL signing, so familiarity with signing or willingness to learn would be great!
We have 2 dogs who are part of the family as well, and they are best friends, so we need someone who's comfortable around dogs.
We look forward to hearing from you!

We would need M/T/Th/F. Likely 8-4 or so. It would be great to have familiarity with our older daughter too if additional hours/date nights could be supported, but also not required. Need to be CPR certified in the past 1-2 years for infants, trained in choking responses for infants/ young children, and able to provide your own transporation to/from our home. Welcome and encouraged to take him to various activities to provide more social opportunities. Really would love someone who truly loves kids, is interacting with him through the day, no screens. Ideally comfortable setting/enforcing boundaries we have in our home. Outside time is really important to us, as well as physical activities (playground, supervised climbing/running etc, not just stroller rides outside for prolonged periods). Occasionally may need to pick up or drop off our daughter (<10 min walk to her preschool) if the need arises. Thanks for reading and looking forward to connecting!

Our son usually sleeps in until 7:30am-8:00am. It's nothing too crazy. I don't require any housekeeping, nothing too crazy of tasks. A little breakfast making for my munchkin but really, I just need someone to be there with him & make sure he's okay until I get home from work.
Please call or text me if interested. I also check my email everyday. Thank you so much!

How much do nannies make in Denver, CO?
What are the common responsibilities and duties of a nanny job in Denver, CO?
Nanny responsibilities can vary greatly depending on the specific needs of the family. However, some of the typical nanny duties include child care, meal preparation, light housekeeping related to the child, and facilitating educational activities. In Denver, nannies might also be expected to assist with outdoor activities like trips to the Denver Zoo or the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. For a comprehensive list of potential responsibilities, you can visit our guide on nanny responsibilities.
How can I find a nanny job in Denver, CO?
Finding a nanny job in Denver involves a combination of networking, applying to jobs posted online, and potentially working with a nanny placement agency. A platform like Nanny Lane can simplify this process, as it connects families looking for nannies with individuals seeking nanny jobs. Here, you can find a variety of opportunities, from summer nanny jobs to part-time and full-time nanny jobs.
What should I expect in a nanny job interview?
A typical nanny interview process begins with a phone or video call, followed by an in-person interview if the family believes you could be a good fit. During the interview, you can expect questions about your experience, skills, nanny duties you've performed in the past, and how you handle various situations related to child care. Families in Denver may also ask about your willingness to participate in local activities. If you progress past this stage, the family will likely request background checks before offering you the position.
What is included in a nanny contract?
A nanny contract is an agreement between the nanny and the hiring family that outlines the terms of employment. This contract typically includes details like the nanny's duties, work schedule, compensation, and terms for termination. It might also specify arrangements for overtime pay, vacation time, sick leave, and confidentiality. In Denver, it could also include unique aspects like arrangements for ski trips or other common Colorado activities.
What should I know about nanny payroll and salary in Denver, CO?
The nanny salary can vary depending on factors like the number of children, their ages, the nanny's experience level, and the specific duties required. For example, a nanny job in Denver might pay differently than a similar job in another part of Colorado. To get an idea of what you could earn, check out our nanny salary guide specific to Denver.
When it comes to handling payroll, nannies are considered household employees, not independent contractors. Therefore, the family hiring you is responsible for withholding Social Security and Medicare taxes from your wages, and potentially state taxes. Our nanny payroll service can help families navigate these requirements.
