A little bit about us

We have two boys, and need some help with after school activities. Some days you may drive them to sports, or simply hang out at school while they play for a while with their friends. We also need some help with laundry and tidying, we would have you come to our house before school gets out to do that. Ideally we need 3 or 4 afternoons a week, 2-5pm, school gets out at 3 and is a 5 minute walk from our house. There would also be opportunities for school days off if you have availability. We would love to hear from anyone who likes to be outside, loves to read stores and is ok with some light tidying and organizing. We are happy to answer any questions you have! Thanks, Orla

We’re looking to connect with another family near Highlands who would be interested in joining a nannyshare with our 1 year old. We have an amazing nanny who has been watching both our kids, but now our son is heading off to daycare and we’re looking for another child around our baby’s age.

Looking for a family who needs between 30-40hrs a week. We're located in West Highland and prefer another family close by. We can be flexible, but are interested in hosting and have all the accommodations necessary. Start date preferred is [phone number hidden].

A little bit about us

Hi I’m a work from home mom and wife that needs extra help for when I am unavailable on calls/working to watch my baby. I would need just extra hands when I am busy, the baby just needs attention, be held. He only takes naps and drinks his milk, and stays awake for a little while. I do want someone to be in my supervision as he is small and still needs me around. My work hours are 9-5 but I’m usually the busiest 10-3pm or 12-5 so I would only need a half day. If you have questions please ask

A little bit about us

Our daughter was born in October 2023 and we are looking for a Nanny to start the first week of May 2024 (she will be 6.5 months then). She is very sweet and learning a lot fast! We are looking for someone who has some flexibility in their schedule as we both work full time, but with a variable schedule, including some weekends. We would be able to guarantee 168 hours/month (4.2 weeks/month x 40 hours), but some weeks will be lighter and some heavier on hours. For instance, if you were our Nanny starting in May, this would be your schedule:
Week 1: May 1-3 from 7am-5pm
Week 2: May 6th, May 10th.
Week 3: May 13th, May 15th-18th.
Week 4: May 19th-20th, May 24th. (note that this span is a six day stretch that includes the weekend, but there are multiple weekdays off).
Week 5: May 28th, May 29th. You would know your schedule three months ahead of time and be able to request particular days off four months ahead of time (i.e. if you are going on a trip, have a wedding etc). We have a 2 year old Golden Retriever named Arlo and so would need someone who is comfortable with dogs.

A little bit about us

My husband and I are looking for another family for a 3-4 day/week nanny share (T-F or T-Th). Our daughter, Rosie, is 5 months old and we want to get started asap! We have a nanny already and had a lovely partner family, but unfortunately they had to drop out of the share due to unforeseen circumstances.
1. We have found a fabulous, experienced nanny and are treating them according to our values: competitive pay, PTO, paid holidays, no driving in dangerous conditions, etc. We need a partner family that feels the same!
2. We live in SW Denver and would prefer that the other family is geographically close. Which family hosts can be flexible.
3. We want a long term arrangement if possible! Our dream would be to never have to do daycare, but instead be able to partner with other parents straight through to preschool.
4. Vaccines are nonnegotiable for any partner family and nanny, and we'd strongly prefer someone who is progressive/lefty when it comes to gender and race issues in particular.

What are the common responsibilities and duties of a nanny job in Denver, CO?

Nanny responsibilities can vary greatly depending on the specific needs of the family. However, some of the typical nanny duties include child care, meal preparation, light housekeeping related to the child, and facilitating educational activities. For a comprehensive list of potential responsibilities, you can visit our guide on nanny responsibilities.

How can I find a nanny job in Denver, CO?

Finding a nanny job in Denver involves a combination of networking, applying to jobs posted online, and potentially working with a nanny placement agency. A platform like Nanny Lane can simplify this process, as it connects families looking for nannies with individuals seeking nanny jobs. Here, you can find a variety of opportunities, from summer nanny jobs to part-time and full-time nanny jobs.

What should I expect in a nanny job interview?

A typical nanny interview process begins with a phone or video call, followed by an in-person interview if the family believes you could be a good fit. During the interview, you can expect questions about your experience, skills, nanny duties you've performed in the past, and how you handle various situations related to child care. Families in Denver may also ask about your willingness to participate in local activities. If you progress past this stage, the family will likely request background checks before offering you the position.

What is included in a nanny contract?

A nanny contract is an agreement between the nanny and the hiring family that outlines the terms of employment. This contract typically includes details like the nanny's duties, work schedule, compensation, and terms for termination. It might also specify arrangements for overtime pay, vacation time, sick leave, and confidentiality. In Denver, it could also include unique aspects like arrangements for ski trips or other common Colorado activities.

What should I know about nanny payroll and salary in Denver, CO?

The nanny salary can vary depending on factors like the number of children, their ages, the nanny's experience level, and the specific duties required. For example, a nanny job in Denver might pay differently than a similar job in another part of Colorado. To get an idea of what you could earn, check out our nanny salary guide specific to Denver.

When it comes to handling payroll, nannies are considered household employees, not independent contractors. Therefore, the family hiring you is responsible for withholding Social Security and Medicare taxes from your wages, and potentially state taxes. Our nanny payroll service can help families navigate these requirements.
