A little bit about us

Hi there!
We are a family of three (+ 1 pup) and we’re looking for help one day a week for 5-7 hours and sometimes weekends. We have a 7 month old Beau who is a bouncy, smiley baby boy.
We’re ideally looking for either Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and weekends flux. Must be comfortable with our dog who is a 2 yr old golden doodle. He’s big and energetic but wouldn’t hurt a fly.

We’re in the Whittier neighborhood, not too far from City Park. Looking forward to hearing from you! Thank you!

A little bit about us

We’re looking for another amazing family to join our already in place nanny share! The cost is comparable to daycare, but enjoy full time 1:2 care for your toddler in your and our home. Our nanny Julia is AMAZING and enjoys taking the kids to the park, Aquarium, Science Museum, Zoo, and more. She speaks English, Portuguese and is trained in child nutrition, sign language, CPR etc with 10+ years of experience. She is incredibly communicative and reliable so you don’t have to stress! She’s already been with us for nearly two years and is pretty much part of our family.

40 hours of care per week (current hours M-F 8:00-4:00 but could be somewhat flexible). Split cost is $15/hr per family. Open to families starting part-time with plans to move to full-time eventually.

Our ideal family:
-Has a toddler or baby over 12 months.
-Lives in Denver, CO or somewhere nearby
-Availability to start in the share soon ideally in November
If you’re interested in exploring if this might be a mutual right fit, please reach out!

What should I expect in a nanny job interview?

A typical nanny interview process begins with a phone or video call, followed by an in-person interview if the family believes you could be a good fit. During the interview, you can expect questions about your experience, skills, nanny duties you've performed in the past, and how you handle various situations related to child care. Families in Denver may also ask about your willingness to participate in local activities. If you progress past this stage, the family will likely request background checks before offering you the position.

What is included in a nanny contract?

A nanny contract is an agreement between the nanny and the hiring family that outlines the terms of employment. This contract typically includes details like the nanny's duties, work schedule, compensation, and terms for termination. It might also specify arrangements for overtime pay, vacation time, sick leave, and confidentiality. In Denver, it could also include unique aspects like arrangements for ski trips or other common Colorado activities.

What should I know about nanny payroll and salary in Denver, CO?

The nanny salary can vary depending on factors like the number of children, their ages, the nanny's experience level, and the specific duties required. For example, a nanny job in Denver might pay differently than a similar job in another part of Colorado. To get an idea of what you could earn, check out our nanny salary guide specific to Denver.

When it comes to handling payroll, nannies are considered household employees, not independent contractors. Therefore, the family hiring you is responsible for withholding Social Security and Medicare taxes from your wages, and potentially state taxes. Our nanny payroll service can help families navigate these requirements.
