I have been with this family for about 9 years. They have 3 children, 1 of which is special needs. My main focus was with the boy (special Needs), the girls were always in school, soccer, dance, etc. I have done work with each child with school work and out of school work. I also teach dance and work in the fitness field, we are always outside running around. I would do their laundry, cooking, cleaning, studying, pick up after toys, baths/showers, and help with driving to and from events. I love these kids as if they were my own, and we always have fun, however except when the rules are no fun for them. I love children and love working with them. I teach them things and they teach me new things every day! I would love the opportunity to share my knowledge and learn more as well with a new family!

Working with children is my passion. I have gained valuable experience with children through various programs. I participated in my high school's preschool program for 2 years. This class allowed me to focus on the development of preschool aged children and how to make lesson plans to suite their needs. I also participated in my high school's Teacher Assistant Program. With this program, I was able to spend over 300 hours gaining hands-on experience in a kindergarten classroom. For 3 consecutive summers, I held a nanny job for two children ages 5 and 9. I was responsible for caring for them around 9 hours a day. My duties included feeding them 2 meals a day as well as doing light housework. I became employed at the in the in 2006 and I am currently employed there. We care for children ages 2 months to 7 years.

I have quite a bit of experience when it comes to caring for children. I have three little brothers who are 9, 10, and 13. I have consistently babysat them since I was 13. This past summer I watched 2 girls (4 years old and 6 years old) 20 hours every week. I worked at a tutoring center for 3 years. There I worked with children ranging from 2 years to 16 years of age. I have also babysat for a family with 2 boys (6 months old and 5 years old) and 1 girl (2 years old), as well as a family with 3 girls (4 years old, 8 years old, and 11 years old).

When I first turned 18, I started babysitting for a family friend. That started out with child who was 2.That job turned into a live in nanny position. I worked for her for 5 years ending with 3 kids from 1 to 7. I did laundry, I cooked, I cleaned, I got the kids ready for school, I took them to school, I did diaper changes and nap time. I helped them with homework, I really did it all! Then I took a small break from nannying. When I came back I worked the summer of 2015 for a family with 2 kids, 11 and 5. That was from June until August. That time we really just did lunch and lots of outdoor activities and park time. Finally I just ended my time with another family. I was with them for a year and a month. They have a 6, 4, and 1 and a half year old. I was doing the kids laundry, lunches, school drop off and pick up, doctors appointments, and for about 6 months I was also their cleaning lady one day out of the week without having childcare duties.

I graduated from High School and High Schools Technology Campus. I graduated from the Early Childhood Education program and completed various internships and job shadows. At the same time, I was dual enrolled in two classes at the college of Lake County. The classes I completed were ECE 116: Creative Activities and ECE 141: Health, Safety, and Nutrition for Young Children. Today, I am currently enrolling in college to get my general education classes finished and to learn Spanish. After, I will transfer to receive my degree. Recently I was a nanny for a family with one child and loved every second of it and do not want to stop taking care of children because of the joy it brings me each and every day!
