A little bit about me

Hello, I am recently a 33 year old first time mother and college graduate. My husband and I had a HUGE year in 2021! We got married, I went back to school to get my Bachelors degree, we bought a house in Meridian Kessler, got a puppy, AND had a baby. Because of all the changes I decided to give up my 12 year career of being a cosmetologist/salon owner. I was struggling to find affordable childcare for an infant. So I became an assistant guide at Guidepost Monesstori. Upon employment with Guidepost I had to do a drug test, federal background check with finger prints, be fully vaccinated, have a TB test, take courses in safe sleeping, childcare state requirements, CPR and first aid.Needless to say I passed them all and was employed. Until my son is a little older I’ve decided to become a nanny. If you hire me I would need to be able to bring him with me! I look forward to meeting you!

A little bit about me

I just graduated from Ball State University with a Major in Child Development and a minor in Psychology. I absolutely love caring for children and helping to support them in all areas of their development.

Here is my philosophy statement:

Children are innately curious and have a desire to learn. They are motivated when they are given opportunities to make choices and explore in a stimulating and enriching environment. I believe that early childhood professionals are responsible for creating a physical and emotional environment that is safe, inviting, and that is specifically tailored to the interests and developmental needs of the child/children. Caregivers are a resource for young children as they learn about the world around them and form relationships with others. They should be supportive emotionally, physically, and cognitively.
