A little bit about me
I have two younger sisters who are 9 and 6 years old and I started taking care of them when they were both 4 and 1 years old respectively. Besides that, in the past years I've babysitted for 3 different families in Brazil and 2 families in the USA.
Every year I volunteer for 2 months as a Mathematics and English tutor for young children in a needy community in Rio de Janeiro.
My birth language is Portuguese but I can speak in English and understand a little bit of Spanish. I can remain very calm under pressure, I am very affectionate and attentive. I love teaching and cooking and would be more then happy to also help with some housecleaning. I'm already fully vaccinated and I take all Covid-19 precautions.

A little bit about me
My true passion is early childhood; those years are truly magical! I love to engage children in play and hands-on learning, from art, crafting, reading, and cooking, to music, dance, and outside play. I have twin experience, a clean driving record, current first aid and CPR certifications, and am a non-smoker.
As a person, I am gentle, reliable, creative, and compassionate. I have spent many hours volunteering in my children's schools and my community, including with a local animal rescue.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Redmond, WA
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Redmond Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Redmond? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Redmond?
- Do you have a driver’s license in WA? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
