A little bit about us
You would have access to our family car to pick up our our 4-year-old daughter at pre-K at a nearby Montessori at 2:30 and then our three boys (twins in Kindergarten and oldest in 2nd grade).
I work from home and while my days are mostly full of meetings, I can be available for support. My wife works in office . We have one dog, a very friendly and high energy Newfoundland named Winnie. She spends the day inside my home office with me so interaction is minimal. We also have one cat who is very friendly - we allowed our boys to name him and they chose Darth Vader.
After school duties would be snack and then just being there for the kids, no expectations of helping with homework as we know that is hard with multiple kids. Our kids love being outside and active. We have a fenced in backyard, play set, and trampoline. We live in walking distance to a few parks and they love to go on scooter and bike rides. They also love to color, do crafts, and could read books for hours.
We believe that having an open line of communication is essential. We also believe in a work-live balance and will work with our nanny to ensure they have time off when needed, etc.
