A little bit about us

Hello! I am looking for someone to watch my 4 year old son and 1.5 year old daughter while I am working. The hours would be 930 am - 530 pm. My son will be in preschool on Thursday and Friday until 11:20 AM and would be dropped off. The days right now would be Thursday-Saturday. This could change to during the week as my job changes, so I would need some flexibility in the future. We have an elderly dog who is very friendly and has minimal needs. Outside of entertaining/watching the kids, I would appreciate light house work such as dishes and picking up. I look forward to talking about this opportunity with you!

A little bit about us

We're a family in Blue Mounds looking for an experienced, dependable caregiver to join us about 20 hours a week, primarily evenings and weekends, with a schedule we'll build around your availability.

This is a hybrid role: caring for our two sons (almost 5yo and 2yo) plus helping keep our home running smoothly. Childcare is the priority, but we'd also like help with family laundry, cleaning and organizing, simple meal prep, and grocery shopping.

Aidan (4yo) is very curious and energetic. He loves playing with toy cars, riding his bike, and playing with friends. He was recently diagnosed with ADHD and Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder. He's generally calm and cooperative with caregivers, but at home he can become dysregulated — he needs patient support around everyday routines like using the bathroom and eating on a schedule, and can act out toward his younger brother when he's having a hard time. Callum (2yo) loves reading, animals, jumping, and eating. We're looking for someone who stays calm under pressure, uses gentle and consistent redirection, and prioritizes keeping both boys safe. Prior experience with high-needs, neurodiverse, or behaviorally complex children is strongly preferred, and we're glad to share more about what works for him.

What we're looking for:

- Genuine experience with young children, ideally including a child with ADHD or similar needs
- Patience, consistency, and a calm, confident presence
- Reliability and strong communication
- A safe, insured vehicle and comfort driving in a rural area
- Willingness to complete a background check and provide references
- CPR/first-aid certification a plus

If this sounds like a fit, we'd love to hear about your experience — especially any time you've supported a child with big emotions or extra needs. Thank you!
