More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I currently work for the Department of Education as a substitute teacher. The ages I serve varies. I usually work in the elementary school environment, however this past school year I was working in a high school.
I've taught 3K classrooms as well as 12th grade classrooms so my experience definitely is vast.
In my younger high school years I was a nanny for a family of two. I usually took my nanny babies to camp in the summertime and during the school year I picked them up from school. Once I pick them up from school I would do homework help and prepare them for dinner and bed. On weekends when their parents were running errands I would take the children to the park or the library for some extra activities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love going to parks, museums, and libraries. I am a Manhattan native so I know a lot of good places to take children for activities and community fun. I also like riding the various boats that Manhattan has to offer. I am not the best at sports but I am very open to learning and trying. I love doing arts and crafts as well. Cooking is another thing I'm very good at. I love to create new things in a fun way through food.
Overall I'm artsy, energetic, and ready to learn and teach new things

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is making sure your children feel loved. As well as making your children feel like they are with their second parent, someone they can go to who they know they can trust and feel comfortable with. Being a nanny is important because children need someone who understands them on a level that is more personal. Parents hold many hats sometimes an extra hand can really help the child's development.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with special needs children through my work with the Department of Education. The students that I have worked with were not necessarily severe cases. My experience with children with special needs usually are children with learning disabilities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My most favorite Nanny moment was when my nanny baby called me from vacation and asked me why wasn't I there to share the sand. His parents then sent me a plane ticket to come join them for the next day. When I made it to the beach where they were he was so ecstatic. He couldn't believe I was there to play with him. It was so nice to see how happy he was. We played all day until my returning flight.

Full-Time Nanny Available in New York, NY: Riley T.
Hi! I'm Riley, and I recently graduated after spending the past five years as a Division I student-athlete. Throughout college, I babysat and nannied for my coaches, families in the athletic department, and families in my community. What started as a way to earn extra income quickly became something I genuinely loved. I enjoy creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment where kids can learn, play, and be themselves. I'm dependable, patient, organized, and love staying active, whether that's spending time outdoors, doing crafts, reading books, baking, or helping with homework. I'm looking for a full-time nanny position because I'd love to build a long-term relationship with a family and become someone both parents and children can truly count on. I can't wait to meet your family!
