Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked babysitting jobs all throughout high school. I also worked at an after school as a Group Leader for middle schoolers. In this job I would give out snack, take attendance and help with activities that included homework help/tutoring. I currently work as a Direct Support Professional for a young boy with ADHD. A job I completed most recently was nannying five days a week for a 15 month old girl where I would pick her up from daycare , take her home and do snack time before assisting mom with bed time.

I enjoy doing all sorts of activities such as sports, arts and crafts, baking/cooking, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe on top of doing the regular tasks apart of the job it is important to build a connection beyond the job to allow trust and companionship. It is also important that you take the time to tend to the wants and needs of the child also allowing them a safe space and support system.

I currently work for a young boy who has ADHD and Autism.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was from my high school years where I worked for a boy in the 4th grade. I would pick him up from school, often times taking him for a fun treat afterschool, then would accompany him home to help with homework. The bond that was made was amazing.
