A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Ally! I’m a 17-year-old student currently still in school and looking for a part-time nanny position to help save for my college tuition. I know a lot are looking for someone older that can help around with their kids but i assure you im a trustworthy person and wont disappoint you. I’m a loving, responsible, and caring person who truly enjoys working with children. I’ve been around kids most of my life and recently worked with the SYEP program over the summer. Through that, I had the opportunity to work at a wonderful daycare, caring for children ranging from 11 months to 6 years old. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Growing up, I often helped care for my family members’ children, which taught me a lot about how to care for and handle kids. I also gained hands-on experience working at a daycare, which helped me build on the knowledge I already had. Currently, I watch my nephew on certain days when my sister needs help. Overall, I’ve worked with children from infancy and have developed strong experience in caring for them.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing a variety of activities with children and always try to make it fun and engaging for them. I often let them choose what they’d like to do, but I also plan appropriate activities ahead of time. Some of the things I enjoy doing with kids include drawing, coloring, and teaching them basic values like kindness, good manners, and how to apologize when needed. If the parent allows it, I’m happy to take them to the park, where I make sure to play with them and keep a close eye on their safety. I always aim to create a fun, safe, and respectful environment where the child feels comfortable and included in the plans.

My experience with special needs children...

I have personal experience with children who have special needs. My younger cousin had a condition I can’t specifically recall, but I loved him deeply, he felt more like a best friend than a cousin. I often helped my aunt care for him, alongside other family members and visiting nurses. Through that, I learned the importance of patience, consistency, and compassion. Additionally, during my summer job at a daycare, I had the opportunity to work with two children who had special needs. This experience helped me better understand their unique ways of communicating and interacting with the world. It taught me how to be more patient, observant, and supportive in meeting their individual needs.
