A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Angie! I am a loving, experienced caregiver with over 10 years of hands‑on childcare experience working with children from infancy through age 9. As a stay‑at‑home mom of two boys (7 and 9) and a homeschooling parent, my daily life is rooted in nurturing, teaching, and creating meaningful, structured learning experiences.

Physical activity is an important part of my family’s life — we practice jiu‑jitsu and prioritize fitness — and I love incorporating movement, outdoor play, and healthy habits into the children’s routines.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve worked for five years in a daycare setting, caring for infants in the mornings and older children later in the day, giving me a strong understanding of developmental needs across multiple age groups. I also work at UNODOSTRE Academy, a Spanish‑immersion preschool, where I support early learning, language development, and social skills.

In addition to my local work, I travel twice a year to Los Angeles to provide childcare for several families who trust me deeply and invite me back year after year.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My caregiving style is warm, patient, and deeply caring, balanced with a firm, loving approach that teaches boundaries, respect, honesty, sharing, and kindness. I believe in helping children grow into confident, considerate individuals.

I value creativity, learning, and self‑entertaining skills, but I’m also highly engaged — reading with children, planning activities, and encouraging curiosity. I’m an excellent cook, and I enjoy preparing healthy meals that support active, growing kids.

Above all, I genuinely love children and feel honored to support families by creating a safe, structured, and joyful environment where kids can thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Caring for children is deeply meaningful to me because I believe every child is a gift from God and deserves to be treated with love, patience, and respect. I feel honored each time a family trusts me with their little ones, and I never take that responsibility lightly.

I have the privilege of being a mother myself, and that experience has shaped the way I care for all children. I know how precious they are, how much they need to feel safe, and how important it is for them to feel seen and valued. Every child deserves to be loved, supported, and encouraged to grow into who they are meant to be.

This work matters to me because it allows me to pour love, guidance, and stability into a child’s life. Whether it’s helping them learn, comforting them through challenges, or celebrating their joy, I see each moment as an opportunity to make a positive impact. Being part of a child’s world — even for a short time — is a blessing, and I treat it with the care and devotion it deserves

My experience with special needs children...

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children who have mild Asperger’s, and my approach is rooted in understanding, respect, and empowerment. I recognize that these children often face unique obstacles and may need different tools to navigate daily life, but I never treat them as if something is “wrong” with them. My attitude is very much “I’m not treating you differently, I’m supporting you in the way you need.” I want every child to feel accepted, capable, and special just as they are. I focus on helping them build confidence, independence, and emotional understanding without making them feel singled out or separate from their peers.
I work gently and consistently, offering clear expectations, patient guidance, and positive reinforcement. I help them develop tools for communication, transitions, emotional regulation, and social interaction, always in a way that feels natural and respectful.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It’s hard to choose just one favorite moment because there have been so many—everything from challenging learning breakthroughs to the sweetest, heart‑warming memories. The moments that stay with me most are the ones where you can see pure joy in a child who feels truly loved, safe, and cared for. Watching a little one light up because they feel understood and supported is the kind of moment that reminds me why I love this work so deeply.
