A little bit about me

Hello! My passion for childcare began when I started working as a paraprofessional for special needs children. I had plenty of experience already from growing up helping take care of my sister, who has ASD and epilepsy, but I was nervous about working in a school setting. After the first few weeks the nerves were gone and I knew I wanted to make a living working with people with special needs. I recently decided the way I want do that is being a speech-language pathologist. I'm still towrds the beginning of my journey to be an SLP, so in the meantime I still want to support myself doing what I am passionate about! I am certified in adult, child, and infant CPR&AED, and First Aid. My caregiving philosophy is one of consistency and positive reinforcement, with a goal of making children feel secure and confident.

my 3 years as a paraprofessional where I gained experience working with people with ASD from ages 6-21, as well as with children ages 5-8 with social-emotional/behavioral disorders and those 5-8 with medical needs.
