More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I started babysitting when I was 13 (ages ranging from infant to 10. years old) and became a camp counselor at 17. Here, at camp, I spent 8 weeks of the summer with a cabin of ~12 campers ages 13-15 years old. I do, however, have experience working with all ages. At 15 years old, my family adopted newborn twins and I was a crucial part of their upbringing.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My experience with my siblings and at camp has left me with a lot of really fun card games/outdoor games to play!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is maintaining a kiddos sense of safety and comfort; when the parents are away. Safe people leaving can be a big transition, especially for younger ages, and my biggest goal is to make your kids feel safe. From there, it's about maintaining that crucial environment and having fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
This isn't a nanny moment, but when I was a camp counselor. I found out that I had made an impact on a campers life. They had went from really introverted and not taking care of themselves, to healing looking forward to the future. I like to think all of camp helped her but I also like to think I played a part:)
