More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I come from a big generation of family members. I took care of all my siblings which included changing diapers, feeding, cleaning, showering, and all the other basic necessities. I also work as a DSP for my brother who has a disability. Lastly, I have 4 years of experience working in healthcare and have seen all different ages of patients.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some activities I enjoy doing with children are painting, board games, video games, hiking, puzzles, and going to the park.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is making the best memories with the kids and leaving a positive impact in their life while making sure their safety is prioritized.
My experience with special needs children...
I have many years of experience working with children who are on the spectrum. My brother has autism and over the years he has gotten closer to me and when he got older I became his DSP to help him with important life skills. Although it can be challenging, I learned how to imply the tools I learned throughout the years.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments are when I notice how they are starting to get more comfortable and there shy side starts to slowly fade away. I would say the best parts are how stronger the relationship gets in the end.

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Portland, OR: Brandi G.
Hello! My name is Brandi Gonzalez, and I’m from the PNW. I love spending time with my husband, cooking and baking, enjoying good coffee, and taking walks around the neighborhood.
I’m passionate about working with young people and currently work part-time at a nonprofit serving middle and high school students. My faith in Jesus is an important part of who I am, and I strive to treat every family and their beliefs with kindness and respect.
I’m hoping to find a part-time nannying position, around 20–30 hours a week, and would love to support your family in whatever ways I can. I’m also happy to help with household tasks for an additional rate, depending on the task and time involved.
I’d love the opportunity to get to know your family and see how I can be a caring, dependable addition to your home!

Babysitter Available in Portland, OR: Kimberley P.
Hi! I'm a Grandma of 4 grandsons who are all teenagers now and I desperately miss caring and playing with infants. I moved from Iowa to Portland in the summer of 2024, but prior to moving, I was a part time nanny for a beautiful family. I started with their first baby at 3 months of age and they had their second baby boy when he was 11 months old. I continued nannying for them up until I relocated to Portland. It was incredible having 2 little boys to care for again!
I also worked with newborns in labor and delivery, pediatrics and NICU at Unitypoint St. Luke's in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for over 20 years as a nursing assistant.
So, needless to say, I'm really missing having that baby contact!

Hey yall my name is Jane! It’s nice to meet you too (: I am looking to work preferably as a live in nanny but will do whatever. I am a 20 yr old college student at PSU and have lots of childcare experience. My family grew up fostering kids since I was around 10 and naturally being the oldest I learned a lot. I’ve dealt with children as young as 6months and as old as 12 but open to all ages. I am a pretty keep to myself person and don’t need alot to get by. I love to cook, try to things, the outdoors (duh of course it’s portland!), read, and dance. I’m from California but and moving to Portland in the next couple of weeks hopefully. I would love to answer any questions (or comments maybe) y'all have look forward to hearing back!

I have worked in reproductive health for 15 years and childcare for 10 years. I value providing compassionate, non-judgmental care and prioritize working with individuals who have a similar approach. I am a trained birth and postpartum provider, have extensive experience in childhood development, and love being witness to the magic of a child growing and changing. Outside of my work, I value social justice, equity, and creativity. I am an artist, queer and in a beautiful partnership, and in school for paramedical tattooing.
