More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am a licensed Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapist and have worked with kids on the ASD spectrum.

I love to keep a well balanced day that includes outdoor activity, fun learning, positive reinforcement, crafts or building, as well as independent play time.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building a healthy bond with children. Nannying can be so much fun, but at the same time, touching, enlightening, and impactful. Nannying children is more than just a job because being an additional caretaker in a child's life means fostering a mutual connection and being an additional support system to ensure their safety and best interest. Building a bond with a child is incredibly special.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with many children on the ASD spectrum from non-verbal to hyperactive.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One time I was at the park with my kiddo (5) who is on the ASD spectrum. He doesn't always enjoy the competition of other kids. A mother was blowing bubbles and a crowd of kids began to play in them. The kids took turns blowing from the large bubble wand and my kiddo had a few turns. There was a sweet younger girl who spoke Arabic and did not know many words in English. She kept trying to communicate but was falling into the commotion of the crowd. Suddenly my kiddo stepped up and asked the mom for another turn with the wand, once she handed it to him and walked over to the little girl, passed her the wand, and praised her when she blew the bubbles. I was incredibly touched by his thoughtfulness and the little girl was so happy to get a turn and be included!
