A little bit about me

Hi! I'm Kerry. I've been taking care of children since I was 12. That's 15 years! First I helped out at an after school care facility, then graduated up to older and older kids and all different types of kids as I got older. I have a lot of skills that are handy both on and off the job. I love art and have a degree in Book Arts from OCAC. One of my favorite things to do with kids is teach them to make a book from one sheet of paper. I also speak poor french :)

I have cared for differently abled and able bodied individuals. Ranging from a teenager with Spina Bifida, to tiny babies! In special needs care I have experience with catheterization, G-tubes, and much more. I also love to play and read books with children. I think it's important to be actively engaged with children and to really pay attention to them. I believe in RIE philosophy and that listening to children is incredibly important.
