My experience with special needs children...
I have 13 years going on 14 years working with special needs children and young adults. Been with the same family going on 14 years. My goal as a Life Skills Coach/ Community Habilitation Worker is for these individuals to be more independent. I take them into the community and show them how to cross the street and how to interact at a store and make purchases. I also show how to shower properly and how to load a dishwasher and washing machine and so much more. Love teaching them school work I'm not a speech therapist but work on their speech if necessary I want these kids and their family to be happy with my work. I love making a difference in their lives.
