The most important part about being a nanny...
I feel the most important part of a child’s life is memories of fun and joy, and lots of laughter. Making sure they get to know the world and those around them with kindness and safety. It’s a must to be a solid role model, because kids look up to parents and other adults for protection and guidance, and that’s exactly what a nanny should do. In my eyes it’s a very rewarding job, if not the most rewarding, when you get to be the result of seeing a child happy and healthy.
My experience with special needs children...
I have never taken care of children with special needs, but i’m sure it isn’t too far off from my general experience with kids, I’m open to learning anything!
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I was counseling, I had so much fun getting to know and love the little kids I took care of, they reciprocated that, and it showed whenever I would see them after an activity and they would come screaming and running over to me, jumping in my arms or wrapping themselves around my legs, knocking me over to the ground every time without fail, it would end up in belly laughter and maybe a few grass stains and bruises. But it never failed to make me laugh ;)
