In high school I was also a math tutor for middle schoolers. I helped with homework and studying for tests. I love teaching, so I would be happy to help with any after school homework.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny is being able to have fun with the kids, while also keeping a sense of discipline. I grew up with a lot of nannies, so I know how important it is that you are seen as an adult figure, and not another friend to play with. Of course I love to have fun with kids, but I also think it is important to get work done first!
My experience with special needs children...
In addition to being a nanny, I was also a camp counselor at a summer camp for children with cognitive disabilities for 4 years. I really loved working with them during art and music therapy, as well as helping them socialize and get through phases of anxiety.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments, was taking one of the kids I was babysitting to his first tennis match. I had been teaching him tennis casually in our neighborhood and he was so excited to play a real match. I loved watching him play, and being able to give him advice from the sideline.
