A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Sydney, and I'm a college student from New York City. I love working with and spending time with children and am hoping to babysit full-time this summer.

I've had experience over the past three years caring for kids of all ages. Three summers ago, I spent 9 weeks as a camp counselor for 4-5-year-olds, guiding them through activities such as swim, crafts, dance, etc. I was also a bus counselor, managing safety on the bus to/from camp and bringing games and read-alouds to make the bus trip more engaging. When camp ended, I spent two weeks babysitting full-time for a camper's family.

Last summer, I worked as a Teaching Fellow in Philadelphia, teaching science to 20+ sixth graders. In that role I gained experience teaching/tutoring and was able to interact with slightly older kids. I also used to babysit for younger kids (aged 10 months to 3 years), handling dinner, diapers, and bedtime in addition to much playing and reading.
