Nanny / House Manager
A private family is seeking a full-time, live-in Nanny / House Manager to support a busy household with two young children. This is an independent role ideal for someone who brings a calm, thoughtful approach to childcare and enjoys helping a household run smoothly day to day.
Qualifications
• Prior experience caring for infants and toddlers
• Montessori experience preferred
• Calm, patient, and intentional caregiving style
• Organized, dependable, and proactive
• Comfortable managing household tasks alongside childcare
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism
Schedule and benefits
~ Full-time, Monday–Friday
~ Hours: 7:00AM – 5:00 PM
~ $78,000/yr
~ 2
weeks paid vacation
~ 5 sick days, major holidays paid
Position Overview
This role combines hands-on childcare with household management. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable caring for both an infant and a toddler. The family values intentional, respectful caregiving and is especially interested in candidates with Montessori experience. Daily outdoor time is a must.
Primary Responsibilities
• Provide attentive, nurturing care for an infant and a toddler
• Support daily routines including meals, naps, play, and activities
• Encourage age-appropriate development and independence
• Prepare meals and snacks for the children
• Light cleanup related to the children (laundry, dishes, toys)
• Transport children to activities as needed
Household Management
• Help keep the household running smoothly day to day
• Light organization and tidying throughout the home
• Family’s laundry
• Daily kitchen reset and general household refresh
• Order groceries and keep household essentials stocked
• Coordinate with service providers as needed
• Simple meal prep when helpful
Note: The home is professionally cleaned once per week.

My husband works FT + at state of CT DOT, we need after care school and camp weeks 3pm to 5 pm some as well as off weeks of camp would be full 8 hours. Wednesday &Thursday’s get her off the bus at our home and pick up from local camp on camp weeks
