A little bit about us

Hello! First time parents expecting a baby boy in May. I return to work in October and we are interested in a nanny or nanny share starting sometime between September and November. Our son will be ~4-6 months old by then.

About us: We live in Oldsmar/Westchase. We both work full time from home and are setting up some separation for our offices so you’d have free rein of the downstairs while we’re “at work.” We have a very sweet 5 year old Bernedoodle who still thinks she’s a puppy :) We treat everyone who comes to our home as family and would treat you likewise.

For nannies: Looking for a nanny with prior experience with infants who is caring, respectful, and an excellent communicator. CPR and First Aid certification a must - although we’d be willing to invest in a class for you for the right nanny. We are looking for 30-40 hours a week, approximately 8:30-4:30 with a bit of flexibility. We are looking for a long term commitment and to work with you at least six months, preferably a year or longer! We are hoping to find someone who cares for our son the way we would. The role would entail all care and play during those hours - preparing bottles, feeding, changing, putting down for nap, reading, and playing. While he sleeps, we are looking for some light help in terms of laundry, meal prep, cleaning bottles and surfaces/spills. Because we work from home we can organize a schedule and breaks.

For nanny share families: Not necessary to share with a child exactly his age but close would be nice! We would prefer to host in our home.

Looking forward to meeting you!

Hi! Single working mom here, with a sweet and easy 2.5yo toddler looking for a part time nanny. I would love someone who is CPR and First Aid trained, someone who has a car and can drive if necessary, and will do developmentally beneficial lessons and crafts with her. Light housework and cooking would be wonderful as well.

The primary difference being the number of hours you spend at your nanny job every week. For full-time nannies, there are options for live in nanny positions and live-out positions in Tampa. Live-out positions are more common, but each family has their own set of needs that require different types of care, and live in nanny positions can be exactly what some families want. How to Interview for a Nanny Job in Tampa, FL

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here is a list of some nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What do you think children like best about you?
  • What kind of activities will you do with children this age?
  • How do you handle problems that arise behaviorally and emotionally with kids this age?

Beyond answering questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative.
