Schedule:
• Every other Wednesday
• Approximately 8:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. (about 3–3.5 hours)
• Start date: late February
• Opportunity for additional weekday hours this summer
Children:
• Care is primarily for one toddler (age 2)
• On occasional school-closure days, care may include all three children
• Must be comfortable with multiple kids when needed
Pay:
• $15/hour for one child
• $18/hour on days caring for all three
(Short shifts; no additional household duties expected)
What the role looks like:
• Preparing and cleaning up a simple breakfast
• Diaper changes as needed
• Playtime, story time, coloring, blocks, etc.
• Some TV time is allowed
• Keeping our toddler safe, happy, and engaged while we’re out
We’ll have activities set up, and we value a sitter who enjoys interacting with kids, but we also keep expectations realistic.
Requirements:
• At least 18 years old
• Prior childcare experience
• CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
• Comfortable with toddlers and occasional care for multiple children
• Calm, confident, and kind (especially with energetic boys!)
Hiring Process:
• Initial phone interview
• Background and reference check for final candidates
• In-person meet & greet prior to starting
We’re looking for someone who feels this is a good fit for them too. Mutual comfort and trust matter to us, and we respect that every family–sitter relationship is unique.
