We are looking to hire a teacher assistant. We are looking for a dynamic, flexible and open-minded teacher who would co-create and co-lead with the teacher, and support her where needed.
We are open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and need support 10am-3pm on these days.
The responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Supporting in lesson plans, learning exercises, and curricula focused on developing social, physical, intellectual, and emotional skills.
- Creating a nurturing, stimulating environment for all the children.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, stimulating space for the children
- Supporting with naps, diapers, newly potty trained children, preparing the physical space.
This is a very exciting opportunity for the right person. It will be whatever you make it.
The basic requirements include
- Excellent organizational skills
- An ability to support a group of children of varying ages, needs and abilities.
- Takes initiative
- A positive attitude
- Willing to be flexible
- Must have own car
- Loving, Reliable, Open-minded, Warm, Quick Learner and natural with children
Ideal candidate will have: (but not required)
- At least 2 year’s experience with children, ideally 2.5-5 year olds
- Alternative education experience or familiar with child led teaching/parenting
$15/hour
