Childcare includes picking her up at 3 PM, driving to occasional activities, bringing her home, serving dinner (provided), and supporting her evening routine. We maintain a calm, screen free environment and follow respectful, evidence based parenting.
Our parenting approach is Montessori informed, respectful, evidence based, and aligned with true gentle parenting. (clear boundaries, respectful communication, emotional regulation support, independence). Gentle parenting is not permissive; we need someone who understands the difference and can uphold warm, firm, developmentally appropriate limits.
Household support from 1 PM to 3 PM includes light organizing, tidying, folding laundry, restocking items, running small errands, and tasks that reduce the mental load.
We value initiative and someone who understands the invisible load of managing a home and child. This means noticing what needs attention without step by step instructions. Examples include resetting a space after use, tidying the lunchbox area after unpacking, or anticipating small needs before they become problems. We are not looking for perfection, just good judgment and common sense.
Requirements: clean driving record, reliable transportation, comfort driving between Lynbrook and St. Albans, and willingness to complete a background check. CPR training can be provided. Compensation is 20 to 25 dollars per hour with a guaranteed daily minimum and pay for full scheduled hours on days you work. A two week trial ensures a good fit.
