Position starts ASAP Monday - Friday 5-9 pm (with flexibility to add hours on weekends). We are looking for a loving and experienced nanny with proven toddler experience and verifiable references. We need an extra hand to help with children's dinner, bath, and cleaning up kitchen after dinner with kids. The nanny will create a safe, healthy, fun environment for our children. Formal nanny training, au pair training, or early childhood classes candidates are preferred. Proficient knowledge of housekeeping and meal preparation is preferred. First aid and CPR training required. Physically fit, energetic, agile, and dexterous. The kinds of tasks that our nanny will be expected to complete daily can include:
• Creating a safe and stimulating environment for the children
• Bathing and dressing
• Changing diapers and potty-training
• Children’s laundry (and ironing children’s clothes from time to time)
• Planning healthy meals, preparing food, and/or feeding the children
• Cleaning and washing up after children’s meals
• Scheduling and coordinating children’s activities
• Supervising rest, bed and nap times
• Indoor and outdoor play
• Reading to the children
• Help with homework
• Organizing bedrooms/toys
• Administering medicine with parents’ consent, if necessary
• Maintaining logs for the parents via phone apps
• Light housekeeping
Light housekeeping chores might include grocery shopping, providing parents with lists of supplies needed, family errands, emptying the trash, sweeping kitchen floors after children eat, loading, and unloading the dishwasher, and keeping the kitchen and kids’ areas, toys clean and tidy.
