A little bit about us

We are a young family looking for a genuinely kind and committed caregiver.

We need someone to watch our infant boy two days a week in the afternoon. We may also ask to babysit the random date night if you're available.

Our son is a good baby; he loves mom, dad, and recently his hands and rattles. He needs a consistent schedule and good energy from a caregiver.

Our ideal person will have enough experience to quickly comfort and enjoy our little boy with songs and play. We are are also looking for someone who is organized, a good communicator, and professional.

We have two mature, sweet house cats who are very good with the baby.

Hours are roughly [phone number hidden] days/week - we do provide paid holidays and after six months also paid sick days. Come September both kids will be in preschool in the morning a few days a week. It is important to us that the children's time is a healthy balance of free play and structured with reading, letters, numbers, arts and crafts, etc.. Some light meal preparation, lunch daily, some breakfast, some dinner, keeping the kids toys and bedrooms organized - teaching them good habits, I.e. brushing teeth, making bed, putting clothes away, etc.

This position is based in Ventura, and the weekly schedule will be 4 full days a week. Start date and weekly schedule has some flexibility. Some hours with just our baby boy, and some hours with both children.

We’re looking for someone who will accompany our little ones in lots of outdoor play, walks to the playground or other fun activities.

We both have flexible schedules and will spend a lot of time with our childcare provider, and we hope that you will share our values of: kindness, acceptance, and honesty.

We also have a dog (a friendly black lab), so will need to be okay with animals.
