A little bit about us
We’re looking for a reliable, empathetic, and emotionally attuned babysitter to help care for our 5-year-old and 3-year-old.
We follow a respectful caregiving approach inspired by RIE principles, valuing authentic connection, child autonomy, and trusting children’s competence. We aim to create a calm, predictable environment where children feel safe to explore, express emotions, and engage in self-directed play with a supportive but non-intrusive adult presence.
Our kiddos are full of personality. They enjoy drawing, dancing, nature walks, singing, pretend play, and tactile play (e.g. slime, Playdoh, water). Both are developing emotional regulation, social communication, flexibility, and impulse control, and benefit from gentle, consistent support during transitions and moments of anxiety.
Payment
• $20–$25/hour DOE
• Zelle preferred
Responsibilities
• Support child-led play and engage authentically
• Practice respectful communication and acknowledge emotions
• Provide calm co-regulation with clear boundaries
• Encourage independence and allow time for children to attempt tasks
• Guide transitions and social communication
• Maintain a safe, calm environment
• Light child-related tidying
Ideal candidate
• Warm, dependable, grounded presence
• Familiar with or open to learning RIE/respectful caregiving
• Strong child development and neurodiversity understanding
• Experience with anxiety, speech/language differences, sensory sensitivities, and dysregulation
• Non-smoker with reliable transportation
We’re looking for someone who values connection and will truly engage with our kids and help them feel seen, heard, and supported as individuals.
If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you!

The older child is fun loving and very outgoing. She will be going to school starting in September so we primarily need help walking/driving her there in the morning and then the infant needs care the rest of the time.
The hours would be from about 545am-245pm Monday-Friday. The mornings needed after October would be rotating with my shift schedule so please be aware of that. I know the hours are not ideal, but we would love to make you part of our family and hopefully include you on family trips in the future as well.

If care at our location is not possible, pick-up would be needed. Drop-off would then also be preferred, but it would not be a deal breaker if not possible.
If Nanny Sharing of some sort is an option, we are open to that.
