I am a career nanny by choice, and have a huge passion for working with children. I have several child related certifications. I have also completed a Nanny college program. I have extensive experience with children from newborn to 13 years old. I work everyday on developmental milestones and age appropriate activities. In my free time I love spending time volunteering, hanging out with my two dogs, traveling, and being outdoors. I love reading myself, and also to the kids I nanny for.

In my country of origin, Senegal, I have card for 2 girls(6 and 11) as a live-in nanny. I loved the kids and the family was real nice. A typical day for me was to prepare the girls for school in the morning (breakfast, pack-a-lunch, walk them to the bus), pick them up from the bus station, make them a snack, help them with homework. I also accompanied Amy (the 11 year-old girl) to her basketball practices. Though most household chores were handled by the maid, I did help with laundry and cooking when needed (mostly when I was bored). I loved the gig and with my husband overseas, my schedule was very flexible. I specially bonded with Amy. We watched TV together and talked a lot. Since doesn't have an older sister, i was her main lifeline when it came to small talk and advices. Although, this was my firs experience as live-in nanny, i bonded with the family and felt very comfortable around them (I think they liked me too). I am also fluent in French and am willing to tutor children who want to learn the language. I have taught French and Wolof to English speaking foreigners while I was in Senegal for a year. I'm currently taking ESL classes to become more proficient in English. I have been living in the US since November 2010.

I come from a family of five children. I am the second oldest and I have taken care of my two younger siblings from the time they were born. I have always loved children and I spend my free time watching/playing with children. I have been full-time nanny for 2+ years. Currently, I work full-time with a child that is almost 3. I am most experienced in ages 0-5 years. I love taking my charges outside, to the park and swimming. I also love making arts and crafts, coloring, and playing games. Reading books with my charges is another favorite activity of mine.

Hello! My name is Shannon, and I am currently a freshman at Penn State studying education! I've been looking for a nanny job specifically for the summer, since I am away at school for the remainder of the year. I have had lots of experience working with children, and through these experiences I have discovered that working with kids is something I want to do for the rest of my life! In my past summers, I have been a volunteer camp counselor at a local camp and have worked with children aged 5-15. I have also held teachers aid positions at local preschools and elementary schools, and was a swim instructor at my high school. Along with these positions, I have babysat for three children that are a friend of the family's. I really do love spending time with kids. As a nanny, I don't want to be just a boring old babysitter. Especially because the summer months are a break from school for the kids, I want them to have the best time they possibly can! I am willing to go above and beyond to contribute to their summer fun. This may include planning crafts, playing games, and many other exciting activities! I have copies of my background checks, and am more than willing to become CPR certified. Feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions for me! I really look forward to hearing from you! :)

I currently teach at an outstanding preschool where I implement hands on learning and learning through the senses. In the past two years, I worked with a non-profit organization. I was involved in a program in Philadelphia, which takes place in pre-schools surrounding Temple University. My colleagues and I worked toward the day that every child in America has a chance to succeed. What we are doing, one step at a time, is working in preschool classrooms, of under privileged children, and we give the children extra attention and support, to guide them on their road to kindergarten. We build social skills, as well as letter, number and shape recognition. is an extremely fulfilling organization, because everyday I wake up knowing that a child needs me. I leave the classroom feeling accomplished and a little happier than when I walked in. I have also worked in several classrooms through out my highschool and college years helping out in any way I can. Also, abroad and locally I have tutored english as a second language to international students. Currently I am tutoring inner city students at a school at an afterschool homework program.
