The Logsdon Family
Montgomery$15/hr  |  4 kids
We are looking for someone intelligent, caring, and effective in multitasking, with a strong sense of initiative and decision-making skills. You will be responsible for both childcare and household management. You will start the day by preparing breakfast and driving the children to school. Later in the day, the focus will be on household tasks such as laundry, grocery shopping, keeping the home clean and organized, grocery shopping, meal prep, and running errands. In the afternoon, attention returns to the children: picking them up from school, serving dinner, assisting with homework, and driving them to after-school activities. We would also want someone able to ensure the children practice and accomplish their daily commitments and can easily manage shifting calendars and the complexity of a family with four busy children.

We are looking for someone that can work early mornings, afternoons, and evenings (and will likely have 3-5 hours free in the middle of every day). Our schedules change frequently, so flexibility is a must for us! We would also like someone open to the occasional overnight, and who would be open to traveling with us occasionally. Nanny must be a good communicator and open to speaking freely with parents about the children and happenings within the home. Must also be comfortable with a conversational style of discipline versus timeouts or taking things away. A sense of adventure is a must!

About the children: 12 year old girl starting 7th grade plays volleyball and basketball, participates in robotics club, 11 year old girl starting 6th grade participates in Boy Scouts and band and flute lessons, 9 year old starting 4th grade plays volleyball, softball, basketball, and football, and a 2 year old boy in Montessori. The girls try out yearly for travel sports, which adds an extra layer of complexity to the family schedule. Church is also very important to the girls and they all actively participating in serving at our church regularly.
