A little bit about us
We are looking for someone to help care for our newborn daughter when my maternity leave ends in October. The position is short-term and would end by late January when my newborn starts daycare. There may be opportunity to continue part time as a morning helper when daycare begins, as we often need help getting our kids dressed, fed, and to school on time.
From October through January, we are looking for help Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7am to 6 or 7pm, and Fridays 7am to 7pm.
Aside from diaper changes and bottle feeding, we’d like someone who will engage our daughter in tummy time and developmental play, as well as take her on walks through the neighborhood. Because she sleeps a lot, the position would include light household tasks while she naps, like washing bottles, doing the children’s laundry, tidying toys, emptying the dishwasher, putting groceries away, or helping to prepare dinner (e.g., chop veggies, start a recipe while we are on our way home from work).
We have an older son who will be in daycare for the majority of the day, but we may ask for some assistance getting him dressed in the morning. If he is ever home from school (on holidays or when sick), the position would require caring for both kids in those days.
We also have dog, Rigby, who is very sweet and friendly. It would be fabulous if our caregiver could take Rigby along on a stroller walk with our daughter during the day, though this is not a deal breaker.
We look forward to meeting you!
