A little bit about us
The parent is a cardiac surgeon, so the schedule is driven by surgical call and we need someone who genuinely understands what that means and is comfortable with it.
My daughter is a delightful, very independent 6-year-old who handles most of her daily routine on her own.
The schedule includes:
• Afternoons/Evenings: school pickup and transportation to after-school extracurriculars on scheduled days. However, when on call or in case of emergency, evenings with dinner and bedtime will be needed. Advanced notice will be given for evenings but there may be occasional last minute needs. Flexible availability is key for this position.
• Overnights: approximately 7 per month including 1–2 full weekends; you will have your own private bedroom. This is very low-key where you would just need to sleep at the home in the event that I was called into work (most times I will not be).
This is a full-time position with a flat weekly rate of $1,100/week (negotiable) based on experience, plus 4 weeks paid vacation annually coordinated with the family’s schedule.
We are looking for someone with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, CPR/first aid certification (or willingness to obtain), and strong references. A background check is required. If you are reliable, flexible, and looking for a long-term position with a family that will truly value you, we’d love to hear from you.
