A little bit about us
We are looking for a warm, reliable, and engaging nanny for our 5-month-old daughter in Columbus, Indiana. We recently moved to the area & are hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys infants and can provide attentive, interactive care in our home.
Schedule:
- Full-time with some flexibility
- Core hours are approximately 10:00am–3:45pm
- Schedule may occasionally flex as early as 9:00am or as late as 5:00pm
- Start date: ASAP
- Position could be either long-term or through the end of July depending on fit and availability
About Our Daughter:
She is an easygoing, active baby who loves floor play, being carried around, stroller walks, and lots of interaction throughout the day. We are currently focused on developmental milestones like sitting, crawling, and introducing solids. She currently naps best in the stroller, so outdoor walks are an important part of the daily routine, though indoor nap alternatives are completely fine during poor weather.
Responsibilities:
- Attentive infant care
- Bottle feeding and assisting with solids (mix of baby-led weaning and purees)
- Engaging in age-appropriate developmental play
- Reading, singing, talking, and interactive play throughout the day
- Taking stroller walks and outdoor time as weather permits
- Light baby-related tasks only (washing bottles, tidying play areas, no baby laundry)
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior infant experience is required
- CPR certified
- Strong references
- Calm, patient, engaging, & communicative
- Naturally interactive & enjoys talking/singing with babies
- Reliable and safety-focused
- Comfortable working in a home where a parent works
- Non-smoker/vaper
- No screen time for baby
Additional Details:
- Care takes place entirely in home
- No driving required
- Friendly cats
- We follow a flexible, baby-led routine rather than a strict schedule
- Position will be paid on payroll
Compensation:
$15–18/hour depending on experience.

We both work from home, so are available to help if needed, but would prefer someone who can work independently. Our working hours are from 7:45AM (sometimes as early as 7AM if we need to go into the office) to 5:30PM, and we are flexible on if this person would want to work 1/2 days or 3-4 days a week. We have 2 cats and can provide references after meeting. The responsibilities of this position are solely childcare and does not involve cleaning or cooking, but that can be negotiated and included depending on the pay scale. We are also a screen free family and would expect that the person we hire will not put the baby in front of a tv and will have limited phone use while caring for our daughter. We are non-smoking/vaping, will go through payroll service, as well as sign a contract. If this sounds like a fit, we would be interested in meeting to ensure we are a fit!
