Loving family searching for a nanny for 3-month-old beginning in October. The ideal candidate has a background in early childhood development and a holistic approach to caring for children.
The Watters Family
Rancho del Mar, Mesa$13/hr  |  1 kid
Hello! We are looking for a SHORT TERM nanny for our 16 month old daughter. Our current nanny will be gone June 10 - August 10. My husband and I work from home, so there is some flexibility on the start/end times. But ideally 25-30 ish hours a week. 10am-4pm (or around those hours) and some night/weekend help for dates :)

Our little girl is curious, easy going, and almost always smiling! We want her to be your main focus when she is awake. Times when you are not providing care for her, we are looking for someone who is willing to help with her laundry (she is clothed diapered),meal prep, as well as some light cleaning. She uses the toilet during the day and is diapered for sleep and outings.

A little about us. We are originally from Michigan and have lived in Arizona for 4 years. We enjoy traveling, cooking, hiking, and being outside. We have a small 12 year old dog who is laid back and hypoallergenic/non-shedding.

We are looking for someone to fill in while our nanny is gone and hopefully long term to grow with our child and our family as a back-up to our regular nanny.

Pay is negotiable depending on experience and availability.

Thanks for your interest,
Heather

I’m a new mom needing some extra hands at night. My son is 7 weeks old and he is a handful. Typically sleeps about 2 hours at a time between feedings so I am up quite a bit at the moment. This position would be a night position from midnight to 5am. There aren’t any pets in my home but there’s a spare bed in the baby’s room so you can still rest in between time with the baby.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Mesa, AZ

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Mesa, AZ

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Mesa, AZ? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
