Long-term Nanny Needed – Part-Time - Peoria

Hello! We are looking for a long-term nanny for our 3YO daughter and 1YO son to start ASAP. We are looking for someone who truly enjoys being around children at this age. The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who's safe, reliable, clean/organized and nurturing. Responsibilities include active supervision, routine management, and child-related light housework. We are located in zip code 85381!

Both parents WFH. Hours will vary with Tuesdays and Thursdays being interchangeable. MWF are consistent. Hours will be within 8-5 p.m. Some nights and weekends may be needed, but this is rare. You will know your schedule a month in advance. If you’re open to traveling with us, that would be a plus.

Must have nanny experience, be a non-smoker, has reliable transportation, and CPR/First Aid trained.

If you or anyone you know is looking for a family to grow with, I'd love to discuss further. Thank you in advance!

A little bit about us

Hello! I am looking for a nanny to help with my son who is almost 3 years old and my almost 4 month old daughter. My husband travels for work most days out of the week and I’m looking for someone to help with afternoons until bedtime. Job would be only looking after one child while I take care of the other.
Hours would be Tuesday-Thursday (4pm-9pm) I am really looking for someone who would enjoy playing with my toddler, taking them down to the neighborhood park if the weather allows, helping with bath time, and bedtime or helping with the baby while I get some 1:1 time with my toddler.

A little bit about us

We’re a fun-loving family with two kiddos—a smart, empathic, and creative 6-year-old and a busy, playful 2-year-old. We’re looking for a kind, engaging nanny to join us part-time… our current nanny (who we love!) will be going back to school at the end of September and cutting hours. We are looking for help on Thursdays from 7:30am–6pm and Tuesdays from 8:00am–1:30pm. Eventually we will also need help Mondays 7:30-6pm but date TBD. The older child is in school most of the day, so bulk of the care will be focused on the toddler.

Our ideal nanny would enjoy imaginative play, reading, dress-up, building, crafts, and board/card games. We live on an animal-friendly property with dogs, cats, and even goats—though your only pet duty would be letting the dogs out for bathroom breaks. We want someone up-to-date on childhood vaccinations (including flu), who’s reliable, warm, and fun.

A little bit about us

I have two school aged girls who would need transportation to and from school and a baby who is 3 months old. I’m a nurse and work 12 hour shifts (7 AM - 7:30 PM) but my schedule varies every week. Some weeks I may not need a sitter, other weeks I may need 2 days. My boyfriend tends to get home between 3-5 so it would be a 6 AM - 5 PM day, give or take. I have 3 dogs in the house that would need fed as well but don’t worry, they’re super friendly.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Peoria, AZ

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Peoria, AZ

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Peoria, AZ? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
