My husband and I are expecting a baby boy in April and are looking into options for nanny shares in our area! Our son will be around 3 months old when we are looking to start our nanny share options. We will be able to drop him off and pick him up from where ever is most convenient. Currently, we have fairly flexible work hours so are looking for something that can meet our flexibility, Tuesday and Thursdays from 8:30 - 5:00. However, there's a chance that hours may become more fixed, in which case we would need help Mon - Fri from 8:30 - 5:00.

I work early mornings . I leave at 3:45 am and get back between 3-4pm. Monday thru Fridays. We also have a cat and a xl dog. My husband works the same shift but might switch. So we are not sure if we need need Monday- Friday services or just Fridays. Shifts would start around 3:30am and go until 3-4pm. The baby would around 4-6 months of age when starting care. Looking before they're born so we will have everything set before having to return to work. The job would start late January or early February 2026. Only extras expectations that would be required is letting dog out for the restroom and simple cleanup from anything that was done within the hours works. This will be our first child and we'd like something responsible and caring.

We use methods consistent with RIE parenting, some Montessori influence, but mostly just treating our children with kindness and respect, the same as we would an adult :) Direct childcare responsibilities will mostly be limited to 4-6 hours at a time, but will once a week be a full day of 12 hours. During times that childcare is not being delivered directly, we are looking for help with daily tasks such as meal planning/prepping, grocery shopping, daily cleanup, laundry, (optional for the nanny) pet care, errands, etc..
