A little bit about us

We are looking for someone to care and love on our sweet 1.5 year old daughter, June, while I work from home. The hours will be Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30-430pm.

We do prefer someone that has experience with this age group.

We do have a dog. You will not need to take care of her but she will be roaming around the house. She is very sweet! She is a bit hyper but will get used to you after a couple of visits. Would be good for you to come over prior to start date to meet June, and our dog!

A little bit about us

Hi everyone! Our family is looking for a part time nanny for the summer, around 1-2 days per week in our home in Cumming. We have two daughters: a newborn (will be 8 weeks at start) and a 10 year old. The 10 year old is fairly self-sufficient but we would love a nanny able to take her up to the neighborhood pool or local park on occasion. Position will start end of June and will continue at least through August. Position may extend past August depending on person. Schedule may vary but we will try to be consistent with hours, with consideration towards candidate’s needs as well. My schedule may require occasional changes depending on my work needs. There may also be days where I will require assistance while working from home.

We would love a candidate who can be flexible, enjoys working with newborns, and can still give attention to our older daughter. We require that you have a valid driver’s license, First Aid and CPR training, and ability to pass a background check. Must also be non-smoker and pet-friendly (we have a larger lab).

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Cumming, GA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Cumming, GA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Cumming, GA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
