A little bit about us

We are looking for a part-time nanny, in our home, for our 2 year old daughter. And eventually also our youngest daughter when she is more mobile (currently 6 months).

We are a loving and busy family located in Clayton. Both of us work full-time remotely at home and we strive to provide a nurturing, stimulating environment for our kids grounded in empathetic, open-minded values.

We need someone from 8:30-1pm Monday through Thursday, with the potential for additional hours occasionally. My husband and I both work from home. Our current nanny takes care of our oldest and we keep the youngest with us upstairs in our home office.

Job Responsibilities:
• Providing care for our daughter in a safe and supportive manner.
• Preparing nutritious meals and snacks.
• Planning and engaging our daughter in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development.
• Assisting with light housekeeping tasks related to the children, such as tidying up their play areas and doing their laundry.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience as a nanny or similar role, caring for toddlers/infants with excellent references.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred, or willing to obtain).
• Reliable transportation.
• Can provide or willing to submit a background check.
• Non-smoker

We’d like someone to start on April 1st but we have some flexibility.

If you are passionate about providing exceptional care, fostering growth, and becoming an important part of our children’s lives and our family, we would love to hear from you!

A little bit about us

Ayrton is healthy and has no allergies. He can hold his milk bottle by himself and feed himself with it. He likes to be held, crawl, practice walking while holding your hands or holding onto furniture, watch people make funny faces, and watch colorful cartoons. He takes naps 2-3 times during the day. I just put him in his bed to sleep when he starts to act sleepy, fuss, yawn and rub his eyes. He doesn't need a dark room or sound machine to sleep, just a dimly lit and quiet room in a comfy bed. He is also good at eating teething biscuits and other mushy foods and can hold them himself and hold a spoon.

I need someone to care for him at their home on 6/6 and 6/7 from 7:30am-5:00pm, although I might pick up earlier if work finishes earlier. We are also looking for someone once a week on Thursday or Friday evenings for 2-3 hours.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Clayton, NC

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Clayton, NC

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Clayton, NC? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
