A little bit about us

Looking for a part time care giver for a 1 year old while mama works from home. M-F with a varied schedule day to day between the hours of 8:30-5:30. Responsibilities include caring for baby and help with light housekeeping (entertain, console, feed, diaper, wash baby dishes, fold and put away baby clothes, empty diaper pail, sweep as needed and help unloading and reloading dishwasher). We don’t watch tv or phones w baby- he loves playing outside, figuring things out and going to the library. I was a nanny for 10 years and understand the importance of a good fit. Baby is pretty laid back, he just started walking . Looking for someone experienced with young toddlers, CPR certified, willing to spend time outside with baby, read, play, sing and help sleep train for naps and help reinforce some sign language.

A little bit about us

Currently have a 10 month old and a baby on the way, due in November.

Our 10 month old starts school in august (4 days a week). Between September-November we would like someone to pick her up from school at 3.15pm (5 minute drive or 15 minute walk) and be with her at home, give her dinner, do bathtime and then bed (7pm) for the 4 days she is at school. On Fridays we would like someone 10-6 to be with her all day. This will include going on walks, lunch and dinner prep and playtime. Total working hours per week: 24

From November we would like to push this to be full time Monday-Friday (40 hrs per week) to help with both children. Hours will change to be 10-6. This will include helping with the baby in the day time and then school pick up for our daughter with dinner and play time.

We do have cats and dogs but will not need any pet care, just want you to be aware we have them in the house. They are all friendly.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in San Antonio, TX

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in San Antonio, TX

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in San Antonio, TX? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
