We’re a warm, welcoming family in McDonough originally from Brooklyn, and we recently welcomed our first baby in April. Both parents work from home (mom occasionally hybrid), and our home is peaceful, loving, organized, and full of good energy.
We’re lucky to live in a wonderful neighborhood with amazing neighbors and lots of little ones nearby, and we’re hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys infants, brings calm and positive energy, and would love becoming a trusted part of our family’s village.
This role is a blend of loving infant care and light household support — perfect for someone who enjoys helping a home run smoothly while soaking up baby snuggles along the way.
Infant Care (Primary Focus)
Loving, attentive care for our infant throughout the day
Bottle feeding, diaper changes, and maintaining baby supplies
Supporting naps and age-appropriate routines
Reading, tummy time, sensory play, and developmental engagement
Maintaining a calm, safe, and nurturing environment
Mommy’s Helper / Household Support
During naps or downtime, help with light household upkeep and organization, including:
Kitchen resets and tidying common areas
Baby laundry and nursery organization
Restocking baby essentials and maintaining organization systems
Grocery pickup/putting groceries away
Helping keep the home calm, tidy, and running smoothly throughout the day
Requirements
* Prior infant/newborn experience required
* CPR/First Aid certification preferred
* Reliable transportation required
* Strong references required
We are hoping to find someone who will become a trusted extension of our family and build a positive, long-term relationship with us and our baby.
Please Note:
This is a light household support role focused on helping our family stay organized and supported — not deep housekeeping.

I have a beautiful 17 month old daughter. She is full of laughter and loves to have all the attention. It is so amazing watching her learn so much every single day.
I am looking for a sitter on an as needed basis. I will only be out for a couple hours at a time.
My daughter has an evening routine that she has grown used to. She loves to play and babble on and on if you let her.
I would love someone who is very familiar with toddlers and preferably have a place where I can bring her to. However, my home is open as well.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in McDonough, GA
If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.
What is an Infant Nanny in McDonough, GA
An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.
Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position
Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:
- What is your specific experience with this age group?
- Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in McDonough, GA? Are you willing to be trained?
- How do you handle a crying baby?
- How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
- What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
- How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
- What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?
You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
