A little bit about us

Spencer is a very happy and active 14mo boy with Down Syndrome. He has been in daycare for about a year, but he was overwhelmed by several viruses in the last two months, landing us in the hospital for several weeks. He does not have any special medical needs at this time, but we want to minimize his contact with daycare germs until he can grow and strengthen his immune system.

My wife works from home and will be present nearly all of the time. We are looking for a nanny to work Mon-Thurs either 8am - 12pm or 1pm - 5pm at our home.

Responsibilities will be caring for Spencer, and working on physical and speech therapy development goals. Spencer has two at home visits from a Speech Therapist and a Physical Therapist each week. The nanny will work with the Therapist when times overlap. These sessions help to guide play and work towards Spencer’s development. Making snacks, lunch, and occasionally dinner are expectations. If Spencer is napping we would like some light cleaning or tidying up to be done.
