A little bit about us

I work nights so I need some help around the house/with the kids so I can get some rest. I don’t have a lot of expectations besides cleaning up the messes the kids make and keeping them happy. We do not do CIO under any circumstances, but understand that with two kids sometimes there will be crying. I prefer to stay away from screen time for the toddler and definitely not for the baby! I’m always behind on kid laundry so an extra set of hands to fold and hang would be sweet! We cloth diaper part time and borrow from some Montessori ideas but aren’t strict about either. We don’t have rigid schedules for the kids, but we do have routines we’d like you to do with them. Learning activities are awesome! Anything you’re willing and able to teach would be awesome. I’m flexible on hours and even days of the week. My hours change all the time so yours can too if you want! Either way is totally cool with us, we’re definitely open to working with you so we have schedules that work out for everyone. However, the ideal situation for me would be 8am-12pm, Monday-Friday. We have two dogs and a cat. If the dogs are wanting to go out it would be great if you let them in and out! Other than that, no care is needed. My daughter is very clingy and high energy. She talks so much for her age! My son had some unexplained respiratory failure at birth and spent a week in the NICU on oxygen, so we are hesitant to have him around anyone who doesn’t take infectious illnesses like the flu, Covid, and RSV seriously or use caution in public or large gatherings. We shouldn’t need you to drive the kids anywhere, but having a car and license so you can get here easily and consistently is preferred. Feel free to eat anything you find, and if the kids are both sleeping you’re welcome to watch tv, nap, or anything else you want. I’d you have kiddos if your own they are more than welcome to come with you! We’d love for our toddler to interact with other kids as she doesn’t have many chances to do so.
