A little bit about us

We have a beautiful 8 month old daughter. I have been working fully remote however my company wants me to get back into the office 3 days a week. We are currently looking for Mon-Wed (around 7:30/8am - 5pm). The days can be adjusted if needed.

Responsibilities include, caring for baby, diaper changes, bottle feeds, sticking to nap/sleep training schedule, cleaning baby only items (bottles, high chair, some laundry). Baby is eating solids so some meal prep (I as mom cook all her foods but may need to warm up, cut, and plate).

Looking for a long term nanny that is willing to join a family. May switch to a more full time position in the future.

A little bit about us

Hi!

I am a single dad and work as an engineer that designs tools used for putting together airplanes. My boys are 22 months and 5 years old.

Otto turns two in August and his vocabulary is growing like crazy right now, it is a VERY fun stage. To describe Otto as simply as possible, he is the most positive person I have ever met. Unless Otto is super tired, the guy is always smiling and laughing. Every morning he hits the ground running and laughing. Otto’s favorite things are playing with sand or water, helping out in the kitchen (spatulas and playing in the sink are a big deal), all kinds of animals (he will attempt to hug every dog that passes by), and his big brother.

Mattias just turned 5 and loves: Legos, soccer, arts and crafts, reading books, every playground he sees, and his little brother. Mattias starts kindergarten this fall at Lenz Elementary.

I work in the north side of Carson City and am looking for a nanny to cover the boys while I’m at work Wednesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday for the summer from 7am to 3:30pm.

Both boys love being outside, they’re always up for going out in the yard or trips to a park, or even a hike (we have a hiking backpack that Otto rides in). They’re mine so I am biased by default…. but they are both very polite and positive boys that always want to learn, especially Mattias, “what’s that? What does that mean? Why do we do do that?”

Basically we are looking for a fun and easy going nanny that can handle: lunch, the occasional breakfast, be autonomous with activities and outings, keep Otto’s nap schedule in order, and just keeping a positive and fun atmosphere going throughout the day.
