A little bit about me
Recently I had charge of an 6 1/2 year old girl. For 1 1/2 years I would pick up Dylan from school on Thursday afternoon and keep her in my home until I would drop her off at school on Friday morning. We enjoyed singing along with the radio, going to the park/playground, swimming, arts & crafts, playing board games and reading out loud to each other.
I cared for Luke in my home PT from 3 months old until he turned 3 y/o the end of March and his parents put him in daycare FT. I still babysit for Dylan and Luke on occasion.
I am passionate about animals and I have been volunteering with dog rescues since 2014.
I look forward to learning more about your family and how I can help. [phone number hidden]

A little bit about me
I genuinely enjoy helping others and being someone people can depend on. I understand how important it is for parents to know their children are safe, supported, and cared for. I'm reliable, attentive, and believe in creating a positive, structured environment where children can learn, have fun, and feel comfortable.
While my professional experience hasn't been in childcare, I'm a quick learner, take responsibility seriously, and am committed to earning a family's trust through consistency, patience, and open communication. I'm looking for an opportunity where I can make a positive impact.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Thornton, CO
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Thornton Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Thornton? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Thornton?
- Do you have a driver’s license in CO? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help
