About Us
We are a welcoming Bethesda family seeking a reliable, structured, and energetic after-school nanny for our two school-age boys. Our ideal candidate brings a fun, mentoring presence while keeping our afternoon routine organized and smooth. Perfect for local college/grad students.
Key Responsibilities
* Prep & Laundry (2:00–3:00 PM): Manage the boys' laundry (wash, fold, put away), prep healthy snacks, empty the dishwasher, and tidy up before pickup.
* Pickup & Transit: Safely pick up the boys from school/bus and drive them home or to activities.
* Afternoon Routine: Keep boys on track with homework, guide them through tasks, and engage creatively.
* Light Upkeep: Help boys unpack bags, wash lunchboxes/dishes, and ensure play areas are neat before parents get home.
Ideal Candidate
Dependable, proactive, and positive. You can balance being an engaging mentor to two boys while maintaining clear boundaries around homework and safety. Strong communication and ability to work independently are essential.
Requirements
* Ideally lives in or near Bethesda, MD or nearby.
* Committed to M–F, 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM.
* Experienced with childcare and family/child laundry.
* Clean driving record, valid US license, and a safe, reliable vehicle.
* Pass background checks and provide excellent childcare references.

•Homework help (for elementary and middle school ages)
•Afternoon snack prep

We are a family of 4, with two school-aged boys, living within walking distance to downtown Bethesda. We have a caring household where we focus on trying our best, learning every day, treating others as we would like to be treated, and having fun.
Our boys enjoy spending time outside, doing many sports and games, playing, reading, and connecting with friends. They also enjoy exploring the area, going on hikes, finding new ice cream shops, and meeting friends at neighborhood parks.
