He is nonverbal, has a G-tube, and does best with calm, attentive, compassionate people.
We need someone who can stay with him overnight for several consecutive days when our extended family is out of state. This is occasional, as-needed care, not a weekly or full-time position. We usually know about these trips well in advance and will give plenty of notice.
We hope to find someone interested in building a long-term relationship with our family. Before any overnight stays, we would like you to spend time getting to know our son and learning his routine.
Experience with special needs children is preferred. G-tube experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right person.
We’re hoping to find someone who is:
● Kind, patient, and dependable
● Comfortable staying overnight for multiple days
● Interested in a long-term relationship with our family
● Experienced with special needs children (preferred)
● Comfortable with G-tube feedings or willing to learn
● CPR/First Aid certified (preferred)
● Able to provide references and pass a background check
We will make sure you are fully trained before you are ever on your own. If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you. Please tell us a little about yourself, your experience, and your availability
