A little bit about us

We have two children, Greyson (8) and Emerson (5). We are mainly looking for a person who has extensive knowledge and experience with Autistic children as our 5 year-old son, Emerson is autistic. He is very ridge and routine based. Any major changes to his schedule can cause him to have a meltdown. The main task would be to pick up Emerson from his school (Cheerful Helpers in Los Angeles), bring him home (Sierra Madre) and to take him to his various therapies/activities.

Other tasks include: provide care inside and outside the home, maintain daily schedule, lead the boys in fun activities – especially when Emerson is not at therapy, keep children’s living and play areas tidy, prepare food/snacks/milk, perform light housework (related to the boys only) such as tidying up and wiping up spills, washing pots and dishes after snacks, etc.

The time commitment would be 4 hours everyday (Monday-Friday) from 11:30am – 3:30pm. We would request that you have a car, a clean DMV record, CPR and First Aid Certification. We will provide the car seat. In order to have Emerson become familiar and comfortable with you, we would like to have you start prior to his first day of school (09/05/23). Additionally, in order to book your service and get paid, we request that you enroll in Urbansitter.com (a website similar to Nanny Lane). This is the service provider that we use to provide payment for all caregivers.

A little bit about us

Married couple seeking part-time nanny for our 21-month-old son, Monday to Friday, 2-6 PM (occasionally longer shifts are needed into the evening). Some weekend availability is helpful as certain things come up. Must have prior experience and references and is personable, fully vaccinated (Covid booster, Tdap, flu), comfortable around cats (we have 2, they're very docile and love company), good with basic physical activity needed for childcare (you’d be surprised what we’ve come across!), with their own transportation, and CPR-trained. The only cleaning we’re expecting is exclusively around toddler items (laundry, meals, general tidiness of his spaces after visits).
